About Square One Electric

Matt's story, in his words and ours

Matt has been fascinated with electricity since he was a small child, before he could have told you what it was. He went into the trade in 1990 and spent years doing the work. Then he tried the corporate ladder for a while. It didn't take. What he missed wasn't the title or the office; it was electrical work, and more than that, giving customers real, safe solutions to the problems in their houses.

So in December 2022 he opened Square One Electric in Bartlett. The name is the point. Every job starts from the beginning: look at what's actually there, figure out what's actually wrong, fix that. He's a master electrician, he holds Tennessee electrical contractor license 80656, and he's still the one on most of the jobs.

Square One Electric

We're a small Bartlett shop that works across Shelby County. Residential and light commercial: EV chargers and Tesla Wall Connectors, panel upgrades, home inspection corrections, aluminum wiring, lighting, repairs, and facilities maintenance for property managers. Small on purpose. It's how the person who quoted the job is usually the person who does it.

Square One Electric is Matt and a small crew. You'll meet them on the job, and you'll usually see the same faces if we come back.
